The Plea of Oberon

Ever since Oberon King of the Fey had one too many dalliances with mortals did Queen Titania grow distant from the eternal lord. He plans to win back her heart with great theatrics, sending his minions to the mortal realm to study music and theatre in order to hone their craft. The lesser fey have taken up residence in the York House of Mystery, much to the chagrin of the church-sanctioned theatre.

A few hooks to begin this quest:

1. The church is willing to pay to deal with this manner discreetly
2. Rumor say the fey brought with them a magical instrument as a "prop"
3. The Master of Pageants owing a favor to you is worth more than gold
4. A playwright went missing a few weeks ago, his troupe needs him back

Location Key — The York, House of Mystery

1. Foyer. Rowdy, Crowded, Impatient

A. Two dozen haughty human patrons are awaiting a "sneak peak" of the York's newest musical play. Pixies secretly sent out tickets to pull pranks on them. The musical will drive them mad.

B. A disguised redcap acting as an usher, blocking the main door to the theatre. Wants nothing more than to spill the human's blood. Magically compelled to restraint. The charm will break eventually.

2. West Wing. Dimly Lit Balcony, Quiet giggles, Mischief

A. 3 pixies peer over the railing to the main stage area. Enjoying Tristan's descent into madness. One holds the Pipes of Tel'nurel, having stolen it from a mannequin backstage

3. East Wing. Dimly Lit Balcony, Curiosity, Petulance

A. William, the spoiled brat of an aristocrat, snuck off to see what is taking so long. In awe of the fairy production. Wants the redcaps to perform.

4. Main Stage. Spotlit, Madness, Stubborness

A. Tristan sits in the center near the stage, feebly attempting to direct the dress rehearsal. Will go insane if this madness doesn't cease soon.

B. 3 redcaps in stage masks and costume half-heartedly sing and stomp the choreography. Say they need music to perform. What they really want is to spill Tristan's blood.

5. Back Stage. Dark, Snores, Boozy.

A. Glimbo, a clurichaun, magically put to slumber by pixies. Only the Pipes of Tel'nurel will wake him.

B. 11 Masked Mannequin Orchestra. Will animate and attack any who play one of their instruments. Only the magic pipes can calm them. (Bandit stats)

Dramatis Personae

Director - Glimbo
A clurichaun who spends more time drinking than directing.

Assistant Director - Tristan Willow
A famous bard being held hostage to direct the play. The fey antics are driving him to madness.

Actors - 3 Redcaps
Ill-cast and ill-tempered who have no desire to sing or act.

Stage Hands - Pixies
Mischievious fairies who are taking great pleasure in this madness.
