An experimental Urniversity design, the Inquisitive Mechanical Fish is able to travel beneath the surface of the Ash, allowing the occupants to avoid unwanted encounters. However, the Ash spoils the mechanism, requiring copious amounts of lubrication. As a closed vessel, no crew is lost to a capsize.
