Dispersed at the foot of an escarpment are the remnants of an ENCAMPMENT. The area is littered with foodstuffs and ruined equipment. The ambient illumination reveals a nearby POOL of gurgling, ashen mud. Close observation uncovers FOOTPRINTS in the ashes, pointing to an entrance in the escarpment. Inspection of the pool uncovers dead SUNMOURNERS [p.4], their heads removed. TWILIGHT VERMIN [p.42] arrive within minutes of players examining the scene.
