The Thing in the Well [LVL 5]
In the lower quarters of the City of Thieves,
on moonless nights, a gigantic tentacle has
been seen emerging from the many wells,
grabbing a vagrant dog, a stray child, a
straggling drunkard or even a member of
the watch, and pulling them into the depths
in an instant. If a tentacle is destroyed, the
attack stops. But the creature seems to have
an infinity of tentacles, and the abductions
will keep happening night after night.
H Slashing tentacle (DEX or STR): 8
H Grabbing tentacle (DEX or STR): The
target is lifted into the air, thrashed and
smashed about, taking Ud6 damage. The
victim can escape with a STR test. When
the usage die is depleted, the tentacle di-
sappears into the hole with its victim, who
is never seen again.
