Vulgrane [LVL 4]

A featherless bird with membranous wings,
a 20-foot wingspan, and a long, toothy
maw. Cowardly, cruel, always hungry,
they swoop onto travellers in the desolate
expanses of the Dust Empire. Some alche-
mists will pay handsomely for a measure of
the creatures' purple bile.

• Surprise: Reaction to a vulgrane's

first attack is always rolled with disadvan-
tage, unless a spotter is actively watching
the sky.
H Dive attack (DEX or STR): 7. With a cri-
tical failure, the target is lifted into the air
and brought to the nest to be devoured.
H Tail whip (DEX): 4. The target falls prone
and misses their next action.
Vulnerability: Cowardly. Immediately
flees if it loses more than 10 HP.
