Android

Androids resemble man but have rubbery skin, black, soulless eyes, and strange metallic clothing. Created by a race from beyond the stars and preprogrammed by the time gods, they are still found wandering the depths of the underdeep or guarding long-buried space ships. A small number of androids are crafted to resemble normal men, and once every few centuries, a man of great longevity is discovered to be an android in disguise. Android innards are a mix of mechanical and organic. They are unaffected by mind-altering spells (such as hypnosis or fear). Their bodies self-repair at a rapid rate. They usually fight with razor-sharp swords or strange wands that burn on touch. (These are mechanical in nature, not magical, and typically fall into disrepair when in the hands of PCs, who do not know how to maintain them.)
