IV of Wands

By long-standing tradition, the ruler of the City maintains an honor guard of twenty fireblooded orcs. The reasoning is that orcs, as outsiders, have no political ties to the factions of the City that would raise questions about their loyalty.

The honor guard dwells in the palace named Kobalosgaard. Its district is dedicated to the support of the foreign orcs and caters to their curious needs.

The orcs consider their blood oath to the ruler sacrosanct and inviolable. They will fight to the death in defense of their charge. However, if the ruler does happen to die, they see no reason to join them in the afterlife. As part of their pact, the honor guard has the right to leave the City with as much booty from the treasury as they can carry.

Sensations:

Goblins are everywhere, constantly underfoot. You smell outdoor cook fires smoking in the bailey. Orcs, off duty, embrace each other while boasting over their cups of mead. In the practice yard, armored orcs train with terrifying ferocity. The palace, though made in a human style, has been embellished by orcish artisans with draconic motifs. You realize, too late, that one of the goblins has relieved you of your purse.

Special City Action:

  • Blood feast: For the price of 50g in gifts and the carcass of an Underworld monster, you may join the orcs in their revelries. The result? They give you a cool nickname that all orcs will call you from now on.
