II of Wands

Take a walk down Newt Row and you’ll see all forms of the eldritch and the arcane: Bubbling cauldrons. Polished viewing globes. Charms of bound herbs. Fortune telling of all sorts—even those ridiculous cards.

Sorcerers scoff at Newt Row. This hedge-witchery is basically junk (more or less). It’s essentially a tourist’s destination in the City: a place where folks from Far Away can get spooked by a sibyl and pay too much for a blue-eye amulet. Still, for those with a penchant for the weird, Newt Row can be a charming little neighborhood to visit.

Sensations:

A maze of narrow cobblestone alleyways winding up a hill. At each doorway, an incense-wreathed woman beckons you into her smoky parlor. Shop windows are full of phallic-shaped charms and waxen statues. Fetishes of woven reeds dangle from crossbeams. The smell of sage smoke hangs heavy in the air.

Special City Action:

  • Purchase amulets: You may purchase amulets for 10g each. Each amulet removes disfavor once (doesn’t grant favor). When used in this way, the amulet shatters.
