The Lotus Eater’s District

The Lotus Eater’s District caters to lotus addicts, but also sells intoxicants of all descriptions. Many kith and kin have found surprising ways to get fucked up, and they can all be found here: dragonteeth blunts, rackety-tam, angelshit, troll spice, takalashi jelly, etc.

Sensations:

Ghost lotus is growing everywhere: through cracks in the cobblestones, sprouting in the gutters, choking fountains and wells. At night, its phosphorescent glow fills the district with a pale moon-like glow. Graffiti artists have painted the alabaster walls with vivid colors: impressionist art in rainbow fractal patterns. As cellar doors open, clouds of acrid blue smoke issue forth from them. Someone is lying in the gutter, twitching. Laughter drifts out of an open upper window.

Special City Action:

• Buy exotic drugs: You may purchase exotic drugs. Black honey costs 35g per dose. Ghost lotus costs 5g per dose. (The stats for these drugs are found on page 98.) The GM is encouraged to come up with half-a-dozen or so additional exotic drugs that players can buy in this district.
