Whorestown

Its official name is the “People’s Republic of Pussy,” but most folks call it Whorestown. The whores of Whorestown rebelled against the central authorities two years ago. Everybody has been so busy with the coming of the Underworld, nobody has yet expended the resources to return this district to the yoke. In some ways, Whorestown is a tiny political experiment in the midst of feudalism. The women and men who make their living there are experimenting with philosophies that are hitherto absent in this pseudo-historical fantasy kitchen sink.

Sensations:

Fake, squealing moans. Political slogans and catcalls mixed together. Drunken songs floating through the night. Clouds of thick, cloying perfume. Brothels painted with bright, warm colors. Lewd graffiti.

Rumor:

Despite the ubiquity of their services, prostitution is not socially acceptable for the ruling or clerical classes. As such, it’s rumored that there are literally secret tunnels to Whorestown from every other district in the City. If you’re looking for a secret path into a particular area of the City, there’s probably one in Whorestown.

Special City Action:

• Pillow talk: Spend 10g to gossip with the whores as you lie spent, sticky, and sweaty. You may ask the GM for one City character’s likes or dislikes (p. 180). They will tell you a rumor about that character’s predilections.
