The Boundless Moat
Dungeon SeedHis Majesty the Worm · p.345
Open source p.345Souls aren’t the only things that sink into the Underworld—ships do as well. This level is an underground ocean choked with the wreckage of a thousand, thousand ships. The limitless depths glow a ghastly neon color, casting bizarre shadows up onto the islands of sunken ships. The wreckage islands are a home to pirates, thieves, and worse.
Sights
Glowing blue waters, like an emptied glowstick. A floating dungeon, bobbing like a cork upon the waves.
Sounds
The constant push and pull of the waves sounds like the snoring of a giant; like an hourglass being constantly turned. Psssssh. Thrsssssh.
Smell and taste
The air tastes and smells of salt. The air is humid. Your armor requires constant oiling or it will rust.
Lighting
The waves shine with glowing blue bioluminescent waters; this provides dim light.
Structures
Rafts of bobbing flotsam and jetsam stretch across the underground ocean. Chambers of wreckage, hallways made of gangplanks, and a few solid reefs tying everything together.
Common monsters
Brine Imps, Sirens, Vodyanoy, Kraken, Daggerfish, Dire Man o’ Wars, Dire Eels, Kelpies, Leviathans
