The Sepulcher of Titans
Dungeon SeedHis Majesty the Worm Β· p.354
Open source p.354Philosophers have speculated that humans were not the first people to govern where the City now stands. The Sepulcher of Titans supports these attestations. Here, the bodies of gigantic creatures lie in unquiet repose. The titans are not dead, merely dismembered. Their decapitated heads sit silently, thinking and watching. If you hooked a bellows up to their neck to give them breath, they could still talk their ancient language. If their giant arms are freed from their coffins, they crawl around blindly, looking for their bodies. If you pull their hearts from their canopic jars, youβll find them still beating. (Do not under any circumstances eat the titansβ flesh.)
Sights
The hallways are close-fitting, as if a secondary prison to the dismembered giants. Humans walk down them with a claustrophobic feeling. These narrow hallways open up into vaulted chambers that prominently display the burial chambers of muslin-wrapped giants.
Sounds
A hallowed quiet broken by the occasional rustling from within the stone tombs as the giants resettle themselves.
Smell and taste
The cool scent of damp earth. A pungent scent of mold.
Lighting
None.
Structures
The rooms are made of unworked stone fitted closely together without cement. The hallways are made of natural caverns. Occasional stone doors of gigantic size separate chambers; difficult to move but unlocked.
Common monsters
Tunneling Imps, Ogres, Mummified Giants, Disembodied Crawling Hands, Furies, Dire Spiders, Chimerae, Manticores
