the seven eyes of ehk questline conclusion
Upon gathering the seven Eyes of Ehk, the sarpathi forces go to the Snake Shrine (p37) to place the Eyes in the shrine's sockets and summon Ehk. Arch Hierophant Zar'Sharaz (L10-C), a group of HIEROPHANTS (L10-B) and a horde of SARPATHI REAVERS (L10-G) come to bear witness.
However, the Gloom King's agents, the Felmog Outriders, and Unassailable Co. never had any intention of letting the sarpathi complete the ritual. To make sure the sarpathi fail, Ulfrex's Hand (p396), Vaddarak the Witch-Knight (p40), and Zhadazat the Sorcerer (p362) arrive. A great battle ensues! If the PCs don't intervene: The Gloom King's agents lay waste to the sarpathi, killing the Arch Hierophant and sending the serpents slithering for the hills. The five members of Ulfrex's Hand, Vaddarak, and Zhadazat each take an Eye for themselves. Henceforth, they become known as the Seven Serpent Lords.
##### If the PCs acquire and keep some or all of the Eyes:
Both the sarpathi and the Gloom King's agents will hunt them down until their own side gathers them all. Destroying the Eyes of Ehk: The Eyes can be destroyed at the Snake Shrine if placed in the sockets and struck with the Sword of the Phoenix (see Temple of the Sarpathi), which summons the cosmic avatar of Zuun the Firebird, ancient adversary of Ehk. In a blaze of shimmering light, Zuun draws forth the avatar of Ehk who is not yet fully summoned to this world. The earth shudders beneath the feet of everyone who witnesses the brilliant sky battle. Ehk, no match for Zuun, is incinerated. In the end, the seven sockets are left charred, smoking, and empty. The sarpathi are filled with utter despair and take it as a sign of their doom.
##### If the sarpathi place the Eyes and complete the ritual:
The God Ehk tears open a portal into this reality, utterly shaking and destroying the southern Drippy Downs. The Nameless Lake is swallowed into the earth, and the Forbidden City rises to the heavens on a jagged cliff overlooking the destruction. The town of Dunk crumbles, killing thousands. Only the cooperation of all factions in the Mucklands can hope to stop Ehk (as L10-C DRAGON with every Ability).
