THE MUSHRUM KNIGHT'S REQUEST

Pizbo'dorn the mushrum knight can't abandon his duties, so he requests that you journey to his hometown of Mushmash. The town is under siege from NYADS and PIRATES and could use some seasoned heroes to help defend.

TRIAL BY COMBAT

After accidentally knocking over a Felmog Outrider's prized lance, and losing it in the swamp, Turnip the Peasant Boy is taken before the Lily Court and found guilty. Turnip offers to work for ten years in servitude, but the angry outrider decides the punishment isn't good enough and demands a trial by combat. As a peasant, Turnip has no champion and must face the knight alone if no one comes to his aid.

  • If a PC steps in and defeats the outrider, Turnip becomes their squire (as per the Dungeoneer Lackey ability).
  • The outrider, Lord Vath (FELMOG KNIGHT L6-B) is petty and vindictive. is presided over by the Horned Judge, centered on a placid pond covered in sturdy lily pads, which all face the massive toadstool bench where the Judge sits.

THE LEGAL CONUNDRUM

The Horned Judge needs help making a decision, and he is displeased with everyone's advice at the Lily Court. Perhaps you could weigh in? A single boggart mother in Sinkhole is on trial for pushing a wug in front of a fleet of runaway sputterhorses. But she only did so to save her five children that were also in harm's way who surely would have been crushed. Should the woman be spared from punishment? Should she have sacrificed herself? Should she be swallowed by the Horned Judge as retribution? But what of her children?

  • Whatever the PCs answer, they must provide a compelling case. If they fail to persuade the Horned Judge to spare the mother, they are saddled with taking care of her five children Orn, Ponso, Gibri, Xina, and Scraps.
