The Middle-Route Runoff
LocationMucklands Sandbox Campaign Setting · p.253
Open source p.253The busiest trade corridor in the Mucklands, running from Capstan to Crickstop and leading directly into the Middle-Route Run. The river is bustling with vessels shipping lumber, ore, goods, and other valuables to dungeoneering corporations in the Used T'Be Forest to fuel the fires of their constant expansion. Though security is well-staffed by the River Watch, the sheer number of opportunities for river PIRATES and BANDITS means river captains often hire their own muscle.

what's there
- River BANDITS and PIRATES frequently attack vessels not well armed enough to defend themselves.
- Corrupt River Watch officials pinch travelers for “protection fees” whenever they can.
- River Barons embark on pleasure cruises, filling up their gambling boats with eager merchants, MERCENARIES, and scoundrels.
- WEORGS stalk the shores waiting for merchants and travelers to make camp before springing coordinated attacks.
- A RYZOPHANT drags a marionette in the water, which looks just like Baron Lankershiv. It was commissioned by a rival to make fun of him.
