DOCTOR MAUD

A curious goblin alchemist in rubber boots and a raincoat, Doctor Maud is camped outside of the Sporg Factory on a mission to discover what happened to the company and learn its secret recipe. She is secretly working for Krog & Sons Inc., for which she's slightly ashamed, but Maud needs the money for her real research, studying spores with Ella Skrunch at the Moldy Cave (p388).

  • Traits: Deadpan, a little frightened, talks herself in analytical circles.

THE SECRET OF SPORG

Doctor Maud is trying to discover the secret of Sporg's deliciously addictive qualities, but she needs more sporg paste to test. She thinks there are more sporg jars deep in the factory, but it's dangerous and filled with FUNGHOULS.

  • Doctor Maud is actually working for Krog, who wants to make all food in Krogland addictive by stealing the Sporg secret.
  • Deep inside the Sporg Factory, there is a horde of hostile MUSHRUMS (20xL2-G) and FUNGHOULS. Led by a MUSHRUM overlord called Zodar'mala'dokus (L3-C), they sabotaged the Sporg factory and shut it down.
  • Zodar'mala'dokus imprisoned the creators of Sporg, the boggle twins Botch and Batch Burgoonie, in family-sized Sporg jars.
  • Zodar'mala'dokus plans on destroying every last jar of Sporg in the world. It turns out Sporg is made from sentient MUSHRUMS and FUNGHOULS and they are not happy about it.
  • If Botch and Batch are freed, they reward the PCs with the Sporg secret recipe. They want nothing to do with it anymore. Doctor Maud offers an Old Hoard () in exchange for the recipe. in disrepair for years now, but many people remember Sporg fondly and wish it would return.
