Hex 14.17. Meaning “Cave of Luster” in dweorg tongue, the beautiful crystals are long since mined out, the mine lying empty for years. Until a big, burly ETTIN named Shog showed up. He lords over a pack of ravenous WEORGS driven out of the Used T'Be Forest.

SHOG

Shog is the weorg alpha, despite being an ETTIN. He was once a mighty wrestler at Ettin Horn, but when he lost the monthly wrestling bout to Torka the Wrist-bender in embarrassing fashion, they cast him out to wander aimlessly throughout the Drippy Downs.

• Traits: Bitter, blustering, recounts his former wrestling glory.
• Motivation: Exact revenge on those who humiliated him. SNARL When Snarl the WEORG (L5-C) and her pack fled to the Drippy Downs, she never thought she'd lose her status as alpha. But that's exactly what happened when her fellow weorgs took a liking to Shog's blustering ways. Now Snarl is just another weorg in the pack, and she can't stand it.
• Traits: Resentful, barks menacingly, speaks through her teeth.
• Motivation: Become the alpha once again.

THE SNARLING HAS-BEEN

Snarl, the former alpha WEORG (L5-C), wants to reclaim her rightful place as leader of the pack. She needs help ousting Shog though, as she could never best Shog in a fair fight.

• Snarl has already lost respect from her packmates after the weorgs fled the Used T'Be Forest in fear of the Little Tiny Weorg Slayer. She must prove her prowess.

what's going on

• A disgraced ETTIN named Shog lives here after losing a wrestling match to an ETTIN called Torka the Wrist-bender. He would love to return but his shame prevents him from trying.
• Shog's pack of ravenous WEORGS fled the Used T'Be Forest fearing their nemesis, the one they call the Little Tiny Weorg Slayer (Wally Dunkwhiffle).

SHOG'S REVENGE

Shog is an angry ETTIN (L5-C), bitter about his banishment from the Sounder Hills. He will never return to face Torka unless he has the upper hand. Guarantee his victory and he'll reward you with one of his WEORGS.

• Torka the ETTIN (L7-C) is a tough wrestler known for his signature move: the Over the Shoulder Boulder Folder, which bent Shog into a pretzel. Torka's weakness is his smug arrogance.
• If Shog returns to Ettin Horn, the others delight in mocking him, even throwing rotten meat in his direction. Shog needs help keeping his composure or else he lashes out with his weorg pack and all hell breaks loose.
• Scrall, the runt WEORG (L1-B) would be happy to leave the pack, as she's often bullied and tormented for being small. If Scrall isn't fed well, she runs away. She despises the Little Tiny Weorg Slayer.
