Backstory

There are many amazing sights to behold in the Land of Eem, and I want to see them firsthand.

  • Ally: Professor Bunderworm, the retired boggart adventurer, has always been a great mentor.
  • Rival: Prang Horgo, the goblin dungeoneer, has long been a professional rival and unethical tomb raider.

Personal Quest

Find the lost treasure of Skroknest Mountain.

Relationships

  • The Gnome always bails me out of trouble, and thinks I need to be more cautious.
  • The Loyal Chum thinks I'm a big grump and tries their darndest to befriend me.
  • The Knight-Errant and I often butt heads over the littlest things.
  • The Rascal still owes me big time.
  • I'm critical and rude to the Bard sometimes but I really love their stories.

The Dungeoneer Perks (as printed on this pregen's sheet, back page)

Selections the pregen has actually chosen are marked [SELECTED] (filled checkbox on the printed sheet); all other listed options are the class's standard menu, printed for reference.

Choose an Underling

  • The underling has in one Stat and its associated Skills but in everything else. They have 1 Courage and won't participate in Combat. If an underling suffers Dread they “go on break” for the remainder of the session.
  • Brawny: Vigor [SELECTED]
  • Sneaky: Knack
  • Brainy: Knowhow

Choose Gear

  • Maps: Travel Checks.
  • Metal Detector: Treasure Hunting Checks. [SELECTED]
  • Delving Tools: At session start, the Dungeoneer always has basic delving gear that doesn't take up Inventory Slots: rope, torch, ten-foot pole, shovel, pickaxe.

The Dungeoneer Abilities (as printed on this pregen's sheet, abbreviated to the levels that fit the page)

PCs can use both of their current Level's Abilities, but keep only one when advancing to the next Level. Full LV1-10 progression for this Class is captured verbatim in the corresponding LOE-REF-\ reference card (source LOE-REF-\, different source, not deduped here per policy).

LV 1

  • Dungeon Crew. Inspire or Intimidate Check: Once every session, make the crew do something useful. They are especially good for distractions, menial labor and triggering traps.
  • Reconnoiter. Realms Check: Once every session, make up a fact or rumor about a place or a group located there. Instant Action

LV 2 (4XP)

  • Bullwhip. Nimbleness Check: Once every session, use the bullwhip to do an extraordinary feat of wrapping, grabbing, or swinging. The whip can hit a target at Nearby range.
  • Hire. Charm Check: Once every session, hire an NPC to do a job, even when the NPC would not normally be inclined to assist.

LV 3 (8XP)

  • Guide. Perception Check: Once every session, to bypass an area or location, invent an alternate route with a built in obstacle.
  • Right Tool For The Job. Tinker Check: Once every session, create a Mundane item which was conceivably and conveniently brought along. This item is usable for the remainder of the session. Instant Action (1–2 It's lost! 3–5 It's lost, but there's something in its place! 6–8 The item is on hand but is limited or defective. 9–11 The item is on hand! 12+ The item is on hand and grants to relevant Checks!)

LV 4 (12XP)

  • Dungeoneer Magazine. Lore Check: Once every session, invent a fact about dungeons or the Underlands in general: how they operate, their customs, and all associated bureaucratic nonsense.
  • Looter. Gain Treasure Hunting. Treasure Hunting Check: Each session, after a Combat or while exploring a dungeon, the Dungeoneer can look for sweet loot. (1–2 Encounter a hostile Wandering Intruder! 3–5 Find a Mundane item. 6–8 Find two Mundane items. 9–11 Find a pouch of Silver Coins. 12+ Find a Magnificent item.)

LV 5 (16XP) — GAIN ANOTHER IDEAL AND FLAW

  • Company Coin. Charm Check: Once every session, pay for an item or service without actually using money on hand.
  • Lackey. The lackey has in every Attribute and their associated Skills. The lackey participates in Combat, has Attack and Defense, 10 Courage, and inflicts Dread. When the Dungeoneer is Hit, the lackey can suffer the Dread if Nearby. If reduced to 0 Courage they are replaced next session with a new lackey.
