Empire rots from within. Endless warmongering and blatant imperialism have bled their treasuries dry. All but abandoned by the Crown, the few ports that still fly the Union Jack have become obsequious to the Machiavellian WEST INDIA Co.

Lord Hamilton, governor of the Jamaica colony, is despondent in the eye of the storm. While his subordinates scramble to rebuild Port Royal after a preternatural earthquake, he conscripts a fleet of tenebrous privateers in hopes of avoiding his inevitable ruin.
