Accounting Section
“A copper saved is a copper earned.”
Motto: A copper saved is a copper earned.
Mission
This section runs the finances of Dungeon, Inc. Besides day-to-day accounting tasks, they build an annual budget that anticipates the revenues of Dungeon, Inc. and allocates resources to each department in order to secure that revenue. Reselling valuables from client loot at the best possible price is Accounting's responsibility.
Profiles
Accounting prefers employing people apt at handling numbers and as hard-nosed as possible. There is a good proportion of creatures with superior intelligence (vampires, cephalids, etc.) in this section, but also creatures with a structured approach to life (constructs, devils, etc.).

Favors (see p.38)
- Thumbs Up: Estimate all sorts of things. Ex.: “I often drink a pint with Udo, the orc who runs assessment at Accounting; he gave me some tips to find out if a weapon is magical or not.”
- Service: Borrow equipment taken from a client and intended for resale. Ex.: “I'm going to visit Samella and ask to copy the spell book we recovered from the wizard on our last mission. She and I go way back.”
Secondments
Accounting people don't particularly like to rely on anyone else, but sometimes you need a bit of muscle to protect your 'unready to rumble' accountants...
1. Escort Mirabelle to the nearby town's bank so she can make a deposit in Dungeon Inc.'s vault, but...
a. Another employee decided that this was their ticket to freedom and riches; they stage an ambush just before the Dungeon exit.
b. Mirabelle is shrewdly lining her own pockets while in town, but can she hide it from clever PCs?
c. Officials from a competing dungeon make Mirabelle (and the PCs) a job offer they can't refuse if they agree to hand over the deposit.
2. Dungeon Inc.'s operating costs are spiraling out of control. A cost reduction plan is decided upon, and the first step is to understand why Reception costs so much to the organization. Azrayel is embedded in the PC's team while they go on client-facing missions to audit their work practices, except...
a. Azrayel is secretly the lover of one of the team's most hated colleagues. His assessment of the group's work is far from generous.
b. In a mission aerie, the team is faced with a devil who ranks higher than Azrayel in the Infernal hierarchy. Will he change sides or stay loyal to his employer?
c. Azrayel is all honey and praise. What's his game? Is he trying to sabotage the audit deliberately? Why?
