Supplies Section

“If you don't know who owns it, the company does.”

Motto: If you don't know who owns it, the company does.

Mission

Supplies has a dual mission. First, they take care of everyone's equipment needs: kitbags for Reception, tools for Maintenance, gear for Surveying, crystal balls for Supervision, etc. Second, they organize the collection of clients' possessions. They must determine what has value (and send it to Accounting) and what can be reused on future missions.

Profiles

Supplies' missions require different skill sets. The bursars who organize the material needs are a combination of office clerks (allocation, inventory, stocking, etc.), craftspeople (repairing damaged equipment, adapting things that can be useful to the company, etc.), and administrators. Generally, Supplies prefers employees who are good with their hands and good with logistics.

1d10 Colleagues

#Colleague
1Louelle, an understanding and passionate pixie
2Moussa, an epicurious and bean-counting minotaur
3Sydonie, a fussy but lethargic slug-woman
4William the Bard, a theatrical and kleptomaniac seamster
5Hannah, a gossipy gnome leatherworker
6Feidoo, a sarcastic and industrious kobold
7Chulain, a grumbling blacksmith and amateur tattoo artist
8Thaurniel, a winter elf assessor with a sharp mind
9Six-One-Six, an obsessive, demon-possessed abacus
10Bergson, an optimistic werebear inventor

Favors (see p.38)

  • Thumbs Up: Improve the gear in one's kitbag. Ex.: “I tell Louelle, our bursar, that I won't be able to do the mission armed with this lousy staff. She needs to find me something better.”
  • Service: Get additional gear in a kitbag. Ex.: “Will, my mate in Supplies, stole some rope for me before we left, just in case...”

Secondments

Supplies rarely calls on Reception for anything, and when they do it will likely be with deep distrust. Or in an unofficial way.

1. Following repeated complaints from both Reception and Maintenance that gear is subpar and keeps breaking, the hosts are tasked with unearthing why this is happening. However...
a. What happens when they start suspecting sabotage from within Supplies itself?
b. Is it perhaps some ancient curse that has been reactivated after a shrine to the God of Artisans was knocked down to build a new aerie?
c. Due to low client turnout, Supplies has been secretly buying gear to replace client-sourced items (and rerouting client gold to do so). What will the PCs do when they find out?
2. A crackdown on illegally acquired magical items is underway, and Reception dormitories are about to be searched. The PCs get advance warning from Feidoo who asks them to…
a. Bring a whole cartload of magical weapons to a secret room in an unused aerie. Except the place is slated for reopening and full of Reconditioning staff.
b. Hide a cursed mirror of untruth in their supervisor's quarters. The supervisor and Feidoo have a long history, and the bruisers are not done being caught up in it.
c. Recover the LizardLance Feidoo hid rolled inside a defective flying carpet. Which has since been filed away in a deep storage warehouse on level .
