It’s your birthday! Well, not exactly, but you’re 1-ish year old, so it’s about time you proved yourself!
No bugbear, goblin, or hobgoblin in our Mucktongue Tribe is worth spitting on ‘til they’ve completed the fabled Goblin Games. If you make it through the obstacle course and bring back a load of fun loot, you’ll be celebrated and fully initiated into Mucktongue society.
If you don’t… Well, we weren’t that attached to you anyway!

C7 Shiny Lady p.6
C7. SHINY LADY
Statue: Life-sized gold statue of a human woman. On a stone pedestal.
• Statue. Statue of Madeera the Covenant (100 gp).
▸ Composition. Looks like solid gold, but is actually gold-plated wood. This means the statue weighs much less than expected, complicating the pressure plate trigger (below).
• Smite Trap. Pedestal is trapped.
▸ Indicator. Obvious pressure plate under the statue.
▸ Trigger. If weight on pressure plate changes, the smiting begins.
Wooden doors slam shut over each exit. Each round, a random creature in the room takes damage (DC 15 DEX to avoid).
Smiting ceases and doors open if original weight is put back on pressure plate.
▸ Possible Solutions. Break the doors down. Quickly swap the statue for an object of similar weight (difficult to judge, see
Composition, above). Use a rope to pull the statue from outside of the room. Convince an NPC to retrieve the statue for you.

Writing: Numerals 1, 3, 4, and 8 written on south wall in blood.

• Furniture. Four tables. First table has three chairs on top of it.
Second has two chairs on top. Third has one upside-down bar stool on top. Fourth table has two chairs on top lain on their sides.
▸ Non-Puzzle. This bizarre setup is meaningless. It was created by a previous crawler who went delirious from the fumes (below).
• Gas Leak. Tiny geological fissures fill the room with colorless, odorless natural gas.
▸ Delirium. Each round PCs are in this room, 3:6 chance that one random PC gets a headache. If they don’t immediately leave the room, their mind snaps: the PC becomes hostile to their allies and fights to the death.
