1. ENTRANCE
A steep flow of hardened magma descends into tunnels that branch left and right. A pile of leaves made of obsidian and an oversized rake lie at the base of the slope. DC 10
DEX when descending to avoid falling into sharp leaves for damage.
Deep in the tunnels of a dormant volcano, a strange grove of trees bear jeweled fruit.
Every 50 years a magnificent flame opal ripens on the largest tree, tended to by a strange entity known as the
Ember Gardener.

2. GARNET ORCHARD
Three trees made of twisting black iron with obsidian leaves. Each bears garnet apples worth 20g each. A 10’ wide stream of lava bisects this room with the trees on the far side.

A dog sized worm with a pale body and a long red mouth that opens sideways.

3. NURSERY
Rows of metal saplings sprout from garden beds made of pumice.
Behind the rows are a sooty spigot and a half melted bucket. Pumping the spigot produces a slow stream of lava. The first time the saplings are watered with lava, they grow gem buds worth a total of 150g. The saplings wilt if overwatered with lava or watered with other liquids.

Vents in the floor spew clear gas that causes the air to waver and snuffs out any flames. Inhale: DC 12
CON or unconscious for rounds.

5. IRON TANGLE
A tangled thicket of five leafless black iron trees. Three Lava Tube
Worms crawl through the branches feeding on glittering fruit. Each tree bears Pearidots worth 15g each.
Human sized or larger creatures become snagged inside the thicket reducing their speed to close.

6. THE FLOOR IS LAVA
A 10’ wide lava stream cuts through the hallway.
The Ember Gardener
• Grows fire opals for its Efreeti masters on the plane of fire.
• Hates Pests. It will attack creatures that damage any trees.
• Speaks only primordial.
• If the PCs politely talk with the Gardener, it will allow them to take any jeweled fruit but the flame opal in exchange for watering the saplings in room 3 and exterminating the worms in Area 5.

7. GLOWING TREE
A gigantic tree made of red hot metal grows from the floor of a domed cavern. A single orange- sized flame opal hangs high in the branches of the great tree.
Oversized gardening tools are scattered about the cave. The
Ember Gardener tends the tree, keeping it hot.
Flame Opal Orange
Absorbs 8 fire damage per day if socketed into armor or jewelry.
THE EMBER GARDENER
An 8’ tall humanoid made from black branches gnarled around a glowing ember core.
