King Theodemir is much beloved by
his people. He led them through one
of the most trying periods the
Kingdom of Drakkar ever faced.
Theodemir ascended to the Throne on
the death of his Father in 298 AK and
not long after, in 302, Vaadmoor
invaded.
By spring of 304, the Vaadmooran
host had besieged the City of Drakkar.
A siege that lasted nearly 3 years,

from 304 AK to 307 AK. Theodemir
arranged an alliance the prior year
with the Kingdom of Caeirkult,
resulting in the betrothal of Prince
Petyr II and Princess Allisyn. With the
alliance in place, Caeirkult sent much-
needed aid in men and materials that
proved crucial to the war effort.
In the autumn of 307, the siege was
finally broken when the King sallied
from the City gates with the Knights of
the White Tower as his Vanguard and
nearly every able man in the city
behind him. At the same time, an
army from Kalek, under the command
of Duke Ragnachar, came from the
North. Their combined forces were
enough to break the siege and send
the Vaadmoorans into retreat.
King Theodemir was gravely wounded
in the battle, but nonetheless pressed
the attack, driving the Vaadmoorans
into the Fell Moor.
The following summer in 308, an army
of the Dalelands led by Tyrius de
Ardaran arrived in Drakkar, and
Theodemir led the combined forces
into Vaadmoor, where they attacked
from the East through Uthaan, while
Katalian forces invaded from the
South, and an Army from Odan
invaded from the West.
After a short siege, the Vaadmooran
capital was sacked, though they could
not breach the great Castle of the Lich
King. Instead, with the help of Mythra
the Wise, they sealed the Castle with
powerful magic. It contained the Lich
King and his remaining servants
within.
Although returning to Drakkar a hero,
the wounds suffered by the King
during the war continue to ail him.
The best healers and clerics have so
far been unable to determine what
foul curse is preventing the King’s
recovery.
