Mogdahl was a Kainite Orc Warchief
of the Severed Head Clan. In 299 AK,
he began killing off the chiefs of the
other tribes in the Sawtooth Hills and
uniting them into a single force.
By 302 AK, he was making bolder and
bolder raids into the Dalelands,
capturing the castle at Garald’s Rock,
and laying siege to Forksdale the
following year.
By 305 AK, Mogdahl controlled all of
the Dalelands, save Korin, which was
protected by the Wizard, Mythra.
Mogdahl was advised by his Warlock-
Shaman Lograh, “the Eye of Kain,” to
begin searching for the lost Book of
Baahl in order to swell their forces
with Baahlspawn and conquer all of
Formoria. This task he entrusted to
the Sorceress, Batul Stormbringer.
Batul and Mogdahl’s lieutenant, Gorog
the Destroyer, scoured the dalelands
for the book. Digging huge excavations
into ancient barrows and crypts in
search of the book. Gorog was
defeated and slain at the battle of
Ardaran in 306, but Batul was able to
escape.
Infuriated, Mogdahl gathered all of his
forces and set out to crush Temple
Bridge. At the second Battle of Temple
Bridge in 306 AK, Mogdahl personally

stormed the gates with his vanguard,
and there he was finally slain by
Ja`Keel the Unblooded.
Upon his death, his forces routed, the
Baahl Spawn fleeing into the Ardaran
Hills. Ja Keel, with the Company of the
Dalelands behind him, rode out to the
remaining Orcish forces, with the head
of Mogdahl, and demanded their
allegiance.
