Mythra The Wise

The Great Wizard Mythra has 
protected the Hamlet of Korin and the 
surrounding dalelands for as long as 
any of the inhabitants of the region 
can remember. He was a tutor to the 
young Lord Eric II in years past and 
served Eric's father, Utred, and his 
father before him. Mythra has been 
instrumental in keeping the peace 
between the men of the Dalelands 
and the Elves of the White Wood, who 
tend to be in constant tension due to 
human logging, hunting, and trapping 
activity.  
During the War of the Dalelands, 
when the Orcish hordes came 
streaming out of the Sawtooth Hills, 
Mythra was the chief guardian of the 
region. Keeping the Orcs at bay with 
his protective magic.  He called for 
envoys from the surrounding 
Dwarven, Elven, Gnomish and Halfling 
tribes to join in the Village of Korin for 
a Great Council which resulted in the 
formation of the Company of the 
Dalelands, led by Tyrius de Ardaran, 
who eventually defeated and subdued 
the orcs, and established the Kingdom 
of the Dalelands.  
Mythra appears as an old Wizard, 
known for his skill at divination and 
protective magics, and rarely leaves 
his Tower at Korin. He takes only one 
or two apprentices at a time. It is said 
that the village of Korin sprouted up 
around Mythra’s Tower, which was 
already ancient at the time. Even the 

Elves seem unsure exactly how long 
Mythra has been there.
