Starting Gold

Characters begin play with a handful of gold (recorded in the Gold field on the character sheet). This is the verbatim wording from character creation Step 5 (p18). DH-CORE prints no numeric starting-gold value.

Gold (p104)

Gold is measured in handfuls, bags, and chests, with 10 handfuls to 1 bag, and 10 bags to 1 chest. The value of gold is abstracted so you don’t need to track it precisely.

Builder note: do not auto-fill a starting-gold number — the book only specifies “a handful of gold.”
