Overshooting and Stray Shots

If you make your attack roll but
your foe blocks or parries successfully,
assume your weapon or missile hits
the ground. It has no chance of hitting
anyone.
If your foe dodges, however, the
projectile goes past him and may hit
someone else. Proceed as for Hitting
the Wrong Target, above, but start with
the closest target on the other side of
your foe. (You already know you didn’t
hit anybody between you and your foe,
or he would not have had to defend.)
