Paradoxes don’t happen, because
parachronic travel is not true time
travel. However, in an “echo” – a time-
line that duplicates Homeline’s history
– any intervention that changes the
flow of events can cause a quantum
shift: an expensive nuisance at best, a
disaster at worst. See Timeline Shifts
(p. 544).
That said, a continuing nightmare
of more imaginative types is this:
What if one of the historical parallels
is somehow Homeline’s past, and visi-
tors change it without noticing? But
that hasn’t happened . . . yet.
