Parallels

The Earths in these universes
diverged from the “known” course of
history at some point. Infinity and
Centrum penetrate most such worlds
as time and manpower allow. Trade,
development, conquest, etc., are possi-
ble without risk of a quantum shift.
Homeline’s general objective with
these worlds is “benevolent guidance”
away from war, especially war with
weapons of mass destruction – and,
somewhat less benevolently, to ensure
that they do not discover parachronic
travel. Many people disagree with this,
but the only coherent alternative any-
body has ever come up with is “hands
off.” And the idea of, for instance,
keeping hands off a parallel-world
Hitler, as he is giving the orders for
Dachau, is a bit much.
