Wounds

When a foe or hazard harms an adventurer, they suffer a Wound. When you take a Wound, choose one of the following options:

  • Notch a piece of armor
  • Wound a talent (up to two, max)
  • Mark the Staggered condition
  • Mark the Injured condition
  • Mark the Death’s Door condition

You can choose the above options in any order you choose, marking any condition, Wounding any talent, or Notching any worn armor. However, as you take Wounds and mark conditions, fewer of these options are available to you. For example, if you have already Wounded two talents, you cannot Wound any more and must choose another option instead. Similarly, if you are already Injured you must mark Death’s Door the next time you take a Wound. Note that Wounds cannot mark the Stressed Condition.

See page 31 for more information on conditions.
