A large expanse of soggy mud and fertile farmland, sandwiched between the murky mires of Quagmash and the glittering waterways of River Country. It is not only the agricultural center of the Mucklands, but the seat of industrial power, hosting the largest cities and populations in the entire realm. Smokestacks crowd the narrow streets of Thurf, mountains of clutter mar the horizon in Junktown, and the conflict between criminals and crooked city officials divide the terrorized citizenry in Bogtown.

Rife with corruption and warring gangs, the people struggle to prosper amid incredible wealth and avarice. Farmers and city folk alike can barely protect themselves from ever-expanding government control, industrial demand, and lawless thieves.

Despite all this, the countryside remains quite beautiful, much as it was in the old days. Folk live and work to preserve their homely traditions as best they can, recalling the glory days of the Bogswain, the first bog folk, that ruled in a simpler, nobler time.

central conflicts

The High Magistrate expands his reach by the day, assuming more and more control over the people of Bogtown and Fleabag County.
The cities overflow with vicious gangsters who extort the already poor locals.
The factories of Thurf and Junktown spew pollution into the air and riverways completely unchecked.
The industrial complex recruits common folk as pitiless cogs in a punishing labor force.
The countryside is constantly under attack from BANDITS, THIEVES, and SARPATHI REAVERS.
