Shooting Blind

If you have a ranged weapon, you
may attack someone outside your arc
of vision – or in total darkness, or
while blinded – by “shooting blind.”
Use the rules for Wild Swings (above),
but the penalty is -10 and your effec-
tive skill cannot exceed 9 after all
modifiers. (As Murphy’s Law predicts,
you are often less likely to hit your tar-
get than anyone else in the vicinity; see
Hitting the Wrong Target, below.)
Needless to say, you cannot take the
Aim maneuver!
